I am having problems activating the Tabbloid delivery system, since I never receive the activation email in either my GMail account or my educational email address.
Same problem here..., although I did somehow manage to get one copy exported. Looks great!
I'd really love it if there was a way for me to upload an OPML file with my list of subscriptions, since I've been collecting blog feeds for quite a while now.The idea is awesome, but I'd really love it if I could use this for all of my feeds at once!Looking forward to hearing from you!
ditto, uploading an existing OPML file would be great.
I have trouble loading the page. Sometimes it loads, sometimes not. And adding feeds never completes proper. Too bad.
Oddly, when my colleagues went to tabbloid.com to check it out, it had all my feeds displayed, even though I only sent them a homepage.Odd!
Seems nice...But with some feeds it imports too many articles. Will it only include the new ones or everytinh in de feed?
Getting ready to give it a try, love the concept. Could someone direct me to the right person to interview if I do a post?
@ sharonhowell,The system may be recording subscriptions based on IP address, which may be why your colleagues are seeing your feeds displayed.@ Tabbloid staff,Thanks for fixing the system. I can now successfully subscribe and activate by Tabbloid subscription. Hopefully, I should start receiving daily issues of the feeds.
this is good guys, well done!
It works nicely.Just let me change the big bold title at the top, from "Today's Tabbloid" to something of my choice: and then you have a winner!
Really nice. Complements the magazine-like service you just launched. The idea of bringing 'publishing' back to the consumer is quite refreshing. AND, now i can be one of the rare people at the cafe reading my RSS feed sans laptop!!!! One less laptop in the coffee shop. Yea!
Fantastic platform guys - well done :-)
very good! I can share my RSS feed with PDF format to other people in a more friendly way.
Well done with this service. Already seeing the benefits of this early release among blog subscribers who are 'old world' and love a printed copy. Paper and ink makers rejoice! Further configurability welcomed - title, hanging paras, range of posts picked up in feed (appears to only return 1st page of label-specific blogger RSS results for example). Make it a blogger widget asap.
Very good, but it can't create PDFs with Cyrillic letters! It's a big problem!
Very nice service. I use this service to get PDF versions of my favorite SEO forums over to my BB. I download them before getting into the subway and read during my commute. Helps me beat the lack of connectivity during my commute. I think you guys have a wide range of audiences that one could appeal this product/service to.However, I did face some issues with the PDF that was generated. While in some cases, the text was truncated when it did not wrap over to the next line, in other cases, the text would overlap leading to some missed words. I guess a few more refressions should help.
Just checked out the service. The PDF which you create looks really good.
Really nice service! I'll like more customizations options: have you any planned improvement for Tabbloid???Have a nice 2009!karlo
As some have mentioned, I really like the idea and currently using to generated PDFs for a couple of blogs. But, I would like to personalize a bit including the title, selecting posts, etc.
I love it, particularly for feeds that don't need daily attention. I'm very happy to have journal article abstracts collected once-a-week rather than having to read them piecemeal via RSS.
Can it be in French ? «Le quotidien» or something like that.Michel Monette
Big Picture http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/and Calculated Risk http://www.calculatedriskblog.com don't come thru ... any issues w/ Tabbloid? Also, noticed that my daily Tabbloids are always 19 pages? Is that be design?
love the idea - but it seems a bit glitchy. some articles get included 2 or even 3 times.....would be nice if the formating was a bit 'neater' and any links were highlighted.
All working ok at my end of this wonderful planet ... In order to start receiving your RSS magazines from Tabbloid, we need to make sure this email address exists. Click here: thanks for this excellent idea ... its looking goodPhillip Skinner
I wanted to receive some persian bloggers rss in pdf format but pdf shows just unknown characters..could you help..i need it
Great job with the dialogue guys, not! Please don't tell me I have to go to twitter to get information.Did the person working with the blog get fired? This whole web thing is deteriorating rapidly.
Beautiful layout.I've been using "Generate Sample" to create 'blog PDFs to print for a non-computer-using relative.I'd appreciate being able to get a chronological ordering instead of the reverse. Developer level control would be fine.A way to generate non-merged PDFs for multiple feeds would be good too. Thanks!
Hi, There seems to be a caching issue. I am updating my blog and yet even after 24 hours - Tabbloid still pulls in yesterdays news!
Just discovered this and am really impressed with the look of it. Handy if you like reading blogs no the move but find it a pain on a pda/phone
The Newspaper is delivered with german titels e.g. "Tabbloid von heute". Is there a way to get it in english?
I've been using tabbloid for several months now and am really enjoying it. Do you plan to offer this technology as a solution for people who are interested in creating print versions of their own RSS feeds? I'm picturing a "PDF Download" option from an online newsletter for instance. Is this something you're exploring or that can be don currently? If so, where do you suggest I begin? If not, do you have any recommendations on getting similar functionality through a third party service? Thanks in advance for your time. And again, wonderful product. You guys have done a beautiful job.
unfortunetely, it doesn't support double-byte languages, like Chinese
This is a great service and I am very appreciative of those who donate their time to come up with this type of concept. I just wanted to state a problem I am having however. The pdf that is created is not able to be opened in my iPhone 3G. I have tried other pdf's and they work fine. Is there possibly some coding in the file that might prevent it from opening in the iPhone? Works fine on my laptop however.
I've been working on a Tabbloid-like service using free software solutions. To Anthony and anyone else interested, I have a basic demo and source code available here: http://fivefilters.org/pdf-newspaper/It doesn't handle images yet, and I haven't tested it extensively, so feedback appreciated.
Are you planning on developing a product for gathering Tweets from the people one follows?
This is exciting for Kindle 2 users. Every Kindle 2 has its own email address. Amazon takes the email and converts to Kindle2 format for $0.10 per email. BUT, I can't reply to activate. Any suggestions?
